Georgia has five Amtrak stations, including in Atlanta and Savannah. Amtrak service is currently limited to Georgia’s northern and coastal areas, with long-distance service to major cities such as New Orleans, Birmingham, Miami, Orlando, Washington D.C. and New York City. It’s worth noting that there is not rail service between Atlanta and Savannah at this time, but it is proposed in the expansion plan.
