The Newbern-Dyersburg Amtrak Station is at 108 Jefferson Street in Newbern, Tennessee, not far from the Mississippi River and Dyersburg. Built in 1920 by the Illinois Central Railroad, the station provides access to the Newbern Depot & Railroad Museum and City of New Orleans trains with service to cities including Memphis, New Orleans and Chicago. There are not many station amenities, just daily and overnight parking. Note that this station does not have restrooms, WiFi, checked baggage service, bag storage or payphones.

Things to Know

  • Use the restroom before arriving at the station.
  • Trip time to Memphis is less than two hours and about nine hours to Chicago, where you can transfer to many other Amtrak routes.
  • Car rentals and hotels are available in Dyerburg, but not in Newbern. Enterprise will typically pick up customers with reservations, so call ahead and confirm transportation with the Dyersburg Enterprise if you need to rent a car.
