Tennessee only has two Amtrak stations, which are in the western part of the state. Both are on the City of New Orleans route and you can easily reach Chicago and New Orleans without a train transfer. Memphis is the only large city in Tennessee with a train station, so to reach Nashville, Knoxville or Chattanooga, you’ll need to rent a car or ride a bus.

To see all your travel options, use the Find Trains feature on the Amtrak.com homepage. Enter your start and end cities to see if Amtrak has rail or bus service to your final destination.
