The Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) is a 10-minute drive away from the BWI Amtrak Station. A free shuttle is available between the two that operates 24 hours/day and about every 10 minutes. The shuttle picks up passengers outside of baggage claim on the lower level of the airport. There are four designated stops.
Once at the Amtrak station, you can connect with Northeast Regional, Acela Express, Vermonter and Palmetto Amtrak trains that travel along the East Coast. Or, board a MARC commuter train to D.C. or downtown Baltimore. If you’re traveling cross country, Washington D.C. Union Station and Penn Station in New York City are major Amtrak transfer locations.
