Flagstaff to Zion
Book tickets on the Southwest Chief route to reach Flagstaff. The city is very walkable and you can rent cars through Enterprise and Budget near the Amtrak station. You can also rent a car through Turo (cars can sometimes be left at the train station for you).
Salt Lake City to Zion
Book tickets on the scenic California Zephyr route to reach Salt Lake City where you can rent a car or book a guided tour. However, train arrival times aren’t ideal, either middle of the night or around midnight if no delays.
Turo is great option if a car can be left at the station for you. Otherwise, you’ll need to stay a night in the city (view places to stay near the station) or otherwise wait until the car rental offices open. View and compare car rental prices on Kayak.
You can also book a guided tour from Salt Lake City. Top-rated options:
- Zion, Bryce, & Antelope Canyon Adventure: Small Group 3-Day Tour
- Zion, Bryce Canyon & Wave Valley Arizona: Small Group 4-Day Tour
- Utah Mighty 5 National Parks: Small Group 7-Day Tour
Las Vegas to Zion
Another option is to travel to Las Vegas on Amtrak (train and bus). From there, you can book a variety of guided day trips to Zion National Park. There’s also a popular two-day tour that includes stops in Zion and the Grand Canyon.
