Amtrak to Wilmington, Delaware

Overview

Many Amtrak trains stop in Wilmington, DE each day. The small city is full of parks, gardens and historic homes, many of which belonged to the du Pont family. Train travel time from Philadelphia is only 20 minutes, and you can board trains to Wilmington in a variety of other cities east of the Mississippi River.

The historic station is named after Joe Biden, who frequently rode Amtrak to Washington D.C. when he was a senator. It’s in a walkable area near the Wilmington Riverwalk, downtown hotels and restaurants.

If you’re flying to the Northeast, you can easily connect with Amtrak via the BWI and Philadelphia airports to reach Wilmington.
