Overview

Multiple Amtrak trains travel to Buffalo, New York each day. There are also two Amtrak stations — the Exchange Street Station in downtown Buffalo and the Depew Station, which is about 10 miles east of downtown.


Routes

Lake Shore Limited long-distance trains stop at the Buffalo-Depew Station. You can board this route in cities including Chicago, Cleveland and Boston.

Empire Service and Maple Leaf trains stop at both Buffalo Amtrak stations. You can board these trains in New York City and cities in Upstate New York.


Schedule

Eastbound Lake Shore Limited trains arrive in Buffalo in the morning and westbound trains in the middle of the night.

Other Things to Know

Buffalo is near Niagara Falls, and if you are traveling on the Lake Shore Limited, book your tickets to Buffalo-Depew to reach the natural wonder.
