If you are going to a baseball game at Fenway Park, the closest Amtrak station is Boston’s Back Bay Station. Walking time is 25 minutes or connect with the green subway line at the Copley Station for a 17-minute commute (view directions). However, if you are traveling on the Downeaster, trains stop at Boston’s North Station only. You can transfer to the green line there to reach the stadium.
Things to Know
- Acela Express, Northeast Regional and Lake Shore Limited trains stop at the Back Bay Station (Lake Shore is long-distance train that originates in Chicago)
- Check the train schedules as you may need to stay overnight in Boston if you are attending an evening game.
- The last Downeaster train departs at 10:30 p.m.
