Which Amtrak station is closest to Yale?

Yale University is in New Haven, Connecticut. The closest Amtrak station is the New Haven State Street Amtrak Station on the Northeast Regional Amtrak route. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the Yale Visitor Center, with the campus just beyond.

You can also take an Acela Express, Vermonter or Northeast Regional train to the New Haven Union Station, which is a little further away. Walking time is about 20 minutes to the visitor center or by car the commute is  5-10 minutes to campus. Use Google Maps to plan your trip to view all your commute options based on your starting station and Yale University as your final destination.
