Station Information
Tampa Union Station is in between downtown Tampa and Ybor City at 601 N Nebraska Avenue (view map). You can easily walk to the Channel District, Port Tampa Bay, and the Port Tampa streetcar stop. Rental cars are also available across the street from the station.
Schedule
Southbound Floridian trains arrive in Tampa midday and northbound trains arrive in the early evening if there are no delays. The Floridian is often late, so make sure you monitor your train’s status.
Things to Do
Top things to do in Tampa include visiting Busch Gardens, Tampa Riverwalk, Ybor City, Clearwater beaches, and attending the Gasparilla Pirate Fest. There’s also a highly-rated street golf cart tour and trolley tour that provide great overviews of the city.
Where to Stay
Home2 Suites and Hampton Inn are closest to the Amtrak station. Walking time is about 15 minutes. We recommended booking a hotel near the Riverwalk to be closer to attractions and the Pirate Water Taxi.
