Tips and Things to Know
- One train per day in each direction at all stations in Montana.
- The Whitefish train station is in a very walkable area near restaurants, shops and vacation rentals. There is a free shuttle to ski resorts, rental cars and guided day trips to Glacier National Park.
- The LOGE Glacier resort is in walking distance of the Essex station. It’s a charming place to stay with the option to get a room in a caboose.
- The historic Glacier Park Lodge is in walking distance of the East Glacier Park station. Both the lodge and station are closed during the winter.
- Walk to lodging, restaurants, grocery store and rafting trips from the West Glacier station.
