Minnesota Amtrak Routes
The Empire Builder travels through Minnesota daily, with one train in each direction. The Borealis offers additional service on the same tracks, but only between St. Paul-Minneapolis and Chicago.

Tips and Things to Know
- The Twin Cities station is in downtown St. Paul. A block away is the Union Depot light rail station and you can walk to museums and the Mississippi River.
- Winona is a beautiful place to hike, or plan your trip around one of the unique festivals. For stunning views of the Mississippi River, be sure to check out Great River Bluffs State Park, Garvin City Heights Park and Sugar Loaf Bluff.
- Barn Bluff is the major landmark in Red Wing, Minnesota, which was regarded as sacred by Native American tribes. Visit in February or March to see wintering eagles.
