Overview

Tampa is the only city on Florida’s Gulf Coast with an Amtrak train station. One train in each direction of travel arrives in the city daily. Top attractions include Busch Gardens amusement park, Tampa Riverwalk, Ybor City and the Gasparilla Pirate Fest.


Routes

Amtrak’s Silver Star train stops in Tampa, which you can board in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York City.


Schedule

Southbound Silver Star trains arrive in Tampa in early afternoon and northbound trains arrive in early evening. Use the Find Trains feature on the Amtrak.com homepage to view current times and prices from your starting location.


Other Things to Know

The Tampa Union Station is in between downtown Tampa and Ybor City. You can rent a car with Alamo across the street and easily walk to the Channel District, which has a grocery store, CVS, restaurants and two hotels: Home2 Suites and Hampton Inn.
