Overview
Detroit has been undergoing a renaissance in the past few years and is an easy Amtrak trip from Chicago and cities in Michigan. There’s a vibrant riverfront, historic architecture and connections to Motown and the automobile industry.

The Wolverwine Amtrak route travels to Detroit multiple times each day. Travel time from Chicago is about 5.5 hours.

Other Things to Know
The Detroit Amtrak Station is not downtown, but is near a few museums, historic buildings and Hotel Saint Regis. Plan to use a Lyft, Uber or taxi after you arrive.
